Training and Clinics

Mission Statement

"To improve the quality of basketball players at all levels by instructing on how to build fundamental skill and enhance performance. Players will learn to appreciate the effects of positive attitude, work ethic, self-discipline and self-determination on and off the court. Players will not only become effective on the court, they will also be expected to be strong citizens in their communities. "

Clinic Fees

$30 per Student per Clinic

**Includes clinic t-shirt**

Individual Training Fees

$25/session per student for 1 student

$20/session per student for 2 students

$15/Session per student for 3-4 Students

**Pay for $100 worth in sessions in advance and receive a FREE individual training bonus session.

Trainer Credentials

Devon Brown: Head Trainer/Clinic Director

Credentials- Indiana Top 50 Workout, IUPUI Top 100 nominee, BS Teaching Health/Physical Education, Certified Personal Trainer, Speed/Agility/Quickness Certification

Experience- Devon has been a part of the basketball world his whole life. He played basketball at Greensburg High School. He left GCHS as one of the most prolific 3-point shooters and finished third in the state of Indiana in 3-point percentage (53.7%). Devon has developed his love and skill of basketball by officiating youth and adult leagues (IHSAA certified), being a camp counselor (Taylor University Basketball Camp, Billy Keller Basketball Camps, and Dick Baumgartner's Shooting Camp), playing at the college level (Taylor University) coaching basketball, running leagues, and teaching private lessons for all ages the past few years.

Training Locations

Greensburg YMCA- The Decatur County YMCA offer a state of the art training facility. It includes 12 regulation baskets, running track, weight room facility, full size pool, sauna, and an outdoor training field.

By Arrangement- Don't want to make the trip to Greensburg? Then have HoopStar travel to you. While this option is a little more expensive, it gives you comfort of staying close to home. Call 812.614.4963 to discuss pricing and availability.

Training Aides

Many items such as a heavy ball, court vision goggles, rebound cord, shooting bandit, etc. are used for HoopStar Training to help the player correct mistakes and develop good habits.
